Why would Maui Police Department do that? Was this ordered by the abusive Chief John Pelletier? Now that we know the role his department played in this, no one should forget what he said at the press conference days later.

Don’t get it twisted. He scolded citizens who lost everything for attempting to deliver aid and salvage whatever was left. Was his home destroyed? I bet not. I would argue that he is covering up what really happened in Lahaina.
